Hello
My name is Peter Upton.
I live in the Whitsundays in far north Queensland Australia
I have 13 years tutoring, lecturing and course development at University of Queensland and Brisbane Institute of TAFE
I have owned and managed various health and fitness centres
I have facilitated 1000's of Fitness Leader/Personal Trainer courses
and for the last 45years I have devoted my life to researching the topics of fitness, health and longevity. Studying the science behind each and how they can easily and simply be applied to our own daily lives.
My Story
After 13 years as a Lecturer of exercise physiology in Brisbane my wife and I decided it was time for a change. So we sold up, packed up and moved to the Whitsundays to run our own business, a backpacker hostel. During the decades I have had the opportunity to do some amazing things. I've ran marathons, competed in Australian outrigging competitions, held seminars and travelled the world.
No matter whether it be the thousands of people that have stayed at our hostel or the thousands of people I've met on my travels I found some common goals from everyone. Mainly, they all want to live as long as possible, they all want to be a version of healthy and they all want it to be easy.
The reason I'm so passionate about what I do is because the science, is the science. Everyone has the opportunity to change, no matter what your circumstances, age, religion, skin colour or finances. All I aim to do is take the complex talk of all the science and simplify it into a way that you can understand but more importantly APPLY TO YOUR OWN LIFE! You don't need hundreds of dollars for a gym, you don't need to buy 'magic pills' or do extreme 'shake diets' or 'starvation diets'. All you need is to be willing to make small changes regularly and have a desire to be better.
That's my goal. I want to help as many people as I can to live not just a long life, but a fulfilling life too.
